Simon’s talk will discuss scientific publishing in Korea, give tips for writing your research paper, advice on how to choose a journal, an explanation of what to expect from peer review, and an overview of developments in publishing, such as open access, with time at the end for a Q&A session.

Short biography of speaker:

Simon Buckmaster is a Publisher at IOP Publishing with nine years’ experience in academic publishing and a background in physics and astrophysics. In his role, Simon works with physical societies around the world, including in Korea, Japan, China and the USA, to publish their journals and develop their publishing programs. IOP Publishing is the publishing operation of the UK’s Institute of Physics (IOP) - a not-for-profit supporting physicists, physics education and research.
